Good cornet for high school?
I have a Bach Stradivarius and I am the first chair trumpet in my high school band. I have been playing the trumpet for 5 yrs. I have always liked the cornet’s sound and I have already played one at school. It would be a bflat cornet. What are the certain models to look for that preferably have a price tag on the lower range? I am ok with buying used, I just want to know what models to aim for. Also, if there are any tips for buying a cornet that would be great. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
I agree with Trombone’s comments on Kanstul. I have a silver DEG cornet that served me very well and was very inexpensive. It even had triggers on the first and third valves to help you keep it in tune.
