Australia Vs England 1st Test Day-1, Cricket Match

The day has come. The eagle has landed. The horns are blown. The bugle is sounded. And Australia will take on England at the Gabba in Brisbane to boost the oldest rivalry in cricket. The ash starts from today, November 25.

England and Australia are the founding countries of cricket and this competition goes back to the 18th century. Ash has played in the fighting spirit of national pride involved.

England are currently Ashes 2-1 win in 2009 but this time it is not played on their home turf. The last time they came here for the ashes and was beaten 5-0 by hosts Australia.Australia are clearly in a downward slope, having won anything since his victory in New Zealand in the tests in February. That was long ago.

England, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka were due to them since. There are players in form, is incompatible with the problems of selecting the team captain. Even future stars of Australia (Australia A) have a good beat England in a match that was hot. The problem with Australia is the lack of quality in a hand spinner and careless of Mitchell Johnson – once spearheaded.

Australia would Gabba with a strong batting line under the leadership of Ricky Ponting questioned. Michael Hussey and Marcus North in the order in half would be under enormous pressure to take his place. It is still unclear, but it is likely that Michael Clarke will play Nov. 25.

One way to see what I could bring the ashes is Australia, we have known for decades, fighting, fierce and World Champion Australia or it could mark end of an embattled supremacy just like 90s sank West Indies.England has shown calm and composure, while the Australians are in a mess. Half compared to the balance between England, Australia is better.

Hitting is not the battle in Pakistan, but it will still do better than Australia. England’s Ashes-winning players, he knows he can be a different ball game than playing Gabba Lord. Pacy is a Gabba track the sun should be, and would certainly be a position to rebound, but not rocking England seamers. England’s trump card, of course, would be off spinner Graeme Swann. Alistair Cook, although showing a good game of heating and Kevin Pietersen may be more under pressure.

Captain Andrew Strauss is a spectacular form throughout the year both ODI and test. Although the Australian leadership was criticized for naming the 17-man squad 10 days before Ash Wednesday, the British have argued for taking a proactive decision to send James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Steve Finn and Graeme Swann earlier in Brisbane. England seem to preparing well for a series which can turn out to be the “Test” of their lives.

Match Timings: Nov 25, 2010 (10:00 local | 00:00 GMT | 05:30 IST).

Teams Are As Follows:

Australia Team: 1 Simon Katich, 2 Shane Watson, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Clarke, 5 Michael Hussey, 6 Marcus North, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Xavier Doherty, 10 Peter Siddle, 11 Ben Hilfenhaus.

England Team: 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Alastair Cook, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Paul Collingwood, 6 Ian Bell, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steven Finn.
